![]() We've all survived the month and are making our way to the end of the year way too quickly. Seriously, why does time like to fly? But despite life's attempts to throw wrenches in my plans via medical issues, I can say I rocked it this month. I finished the rewrite of my short story fantasy, Balance of Love. Only three chapters from the previous draft were kept. Everything else went. The story ended up being around 10K words. Now, I'm letting it sit before diving into edits. My mermaid fantasy and zombie stories, Deep Curse and The Cure, also got a round of editing and I'm happy with the progress I've made. I had an amazing time as an author vendor at MIParaCon. It was the 10th anniversary of the convention and my first time being a vendor. I was a little bummed not to get to see any of the talks about ghosts and aliens and Bigfoot, but I got to talk to a lot of people; I sold eleven books, some bookmarks, and a lot of magnets; I had thirteen people sign up for my newsletter; and I made some connections. I'll be posting a video on my channel tomorrow. A big thanks to my bestie for coming with me and providing more support and hyping up my book to people. My August was amazing and there's still a few days left. I may be taking it easy though to recover from MIParaCon. I'm an introvert, so while it was fun, it was very draining. How has your month been? Have you rocked it? Accomplished what you wanted? Let me know in the comments.

It's official! Patricia Josephine is online!Hopefully, this change will enable readers to find me easier than Patricia Lynne. Too many people spell Lynne without the E, and nothing of mine showed up when you searched Patricia Lynne. (It's really hard for me to type Lynne without the E!) It made me wonder how many people went looking for me, but never found me.
My other website is still up. When I decided to do this, I had a bunch of business cards and promotion material for Patricia Lynne because I had an author event I had signed up for under that name. I might slowly phase it out, but I'm not sure. I could take my YA and put them under Patricia Josephine or I could leave them and just make a section on this website for them. It's like what I did for my PJ titles when I first published Path of Angels. (I have to admit, that was mostly because I wrote the series, decided to put it under a different name than my YA, but never thought, "Hey, make a website and profile for this name so you can market it." when it came time to publish.) I have time to decide what to do. I hope those who joined me over at Patricia Lynne will stalk me here as well. I plan on blogging here and doing some Youtube videos. (Which means making another introduction type post!) |
