It's A Quick Spell's release week! Yes, I'm going with the entire week because why not? I like being flexible, after all. Check out all the places you will see me and show A Quick Spell some love.
EXCERPT
A rainbow of color swirled around Keane like a thick fog. They mixed before separating like oil and water. All was silent, nor were there any smells or scents. Nothing was tangible. He didn’t even have a form. Yet, Keane drifted through it as if it were real. He existed.

Others lived in the void with him. He never saw them, and they made no sounds. He knew they were there, though. He sensed their being. He would feel when they would collide. Energy exploded as they fought for dominance. He always knew when one absorbed another. They left him alone. Unlike them, he was ageless. To challenge him was certain suicide. He was content with that.

Every so often, something penetrated the void. It crackled against him and promised more energy. A primal hunger drove him to follow. The force pulled him into the human’s mind. Sounds, sights, and scents crashed into him as he experienced the emotions. They filled him up until he felt as if he would burst. It was too much. He didn’t understand how humans handled the barrage. Didn’t it hurt? He escaped back to the numbness of his home as fast as he could.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Patricia Josephine is a writer of Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fi Romance books. She actually never set out to become a writer, and in fact, she was more interested in art and band in high school and college. Her dreams were of becoming an artist like Picasso. On a whim, she wrote down a story bouncing in her head for fun. That was the start of her writing journey, and she hasn't regretted a moment. When she's not writing, she's watching Doctor Who or reading about serial killers. She's an avid knitter. One can never have too much yarn. She writes Young Adult Paranormal, Science Fiction, and Fantasy under the name Patricia Lynne.

Patricia lives with her husband in Michigan, hopes one day to have what will resemble a small petting zoo, and has a fondness for dying her hair the colors of the rainbow.
