#IWSG--The End is Nigh!

The first Wednesday of every month is the Insecure Writer's Support Group. Posts go up the 1st Wednesday of every month. Check it out here and join if you need support with your writing. Don't forget to stop by and say hello to the co-hosts:  Tonja Drecker, Beverly Stowe McClure, Nicki Elson, Fundy Blue, and Tyrean Martinson!

December 4 question - Let's play a game. Imagine. Role-play. How would you describe your future writer self, your life and what it looks and feels like if you were living the dream? Or if you are already there, what does it look and feel like? Tell the rest of us. What would you change or improve?

I'm skipping this question because I couldn't even tell you how I'd describe myself tomorrow. I hesitate to plan much because when I do, life likes the put her foot out and knock me over. It's better to just have some loose ideas of what I want and then go with the flow.

We're in the last month of the year. I've taken a few peeks at the goals I set for 2019 and what I've accomplished this year already. And I have to say, I did pretty damn well this year. The schedule I made worked well and I'm amazed at all I've gotten accomplished this year. But we're not out of the water yet. We still have December and that gives us plenty of time to squeeze a few more words in. I plan on doing that and I hope you are too.

Have you looked at your goals for 2019 yet? Did you meet any? Are there a couple you think you can get in before we ring in the new year? I fiddled with my website design and went for something festive. What do you think?

Good work on achieving (most) of your goals! I haven't looked at mine yet because I tend to wait until just before New Year to check in. Love the festive blog!

Why wouldn't you keep your goals for 2019 front and center, returning to them often? I don't like the idea of resolutions, so I don't have any to check in with.

Congrats on your yearly progress! I had a productive year and I'm trundling through the winter towards some spring goals.

Love your decor - reminded me to put up my festive holiday header.

Love the festive theme! I would change my website but I know it would be months before I changed it back.

I'm afraid to look at my 2019 goals.

Congratulations Patricia Josephine for what you have accomplished this year! I hesitate to put down firm plans too ~ It's a challenge to the Universe, and the Universe takes great delight in tripping me up. Happy holidays and happy writing in December, especially in knocking off another unuttered plan or goal!

That's great that you've done so well this year. I don't even remember if I made concrete goals.

Last December feels miles behind me and eons ago. I can't remember what all my goals were. These days, I'm trying to set short term goals I can work on in bursts, while I manage my writing life in the margins of my teaching and momming. @samanthabwriter from

I missed my yearly goals by a lot but I am going to try and squeeze out a few more thousand words this month.

I didn't even come close to meeting any of my 2019 goals. I hope to do better next year. :)

I love the festive blog theme. It looks great!

Being satisfied with your goals is a mark of accomplishment. I'd say you have every right to feel good about that. Here's to 2020.

Very nice and festive! As for goals... I don't even recall if I set any for 2019. I expected a lot of disruption--and there was. I'm delighted with how much I accomplished, though I know there are things I hoped to and haven't done (like re-doing my web site).
